God Wants to Open Your Eyes!

In Matthew 9:27-30 there is a parable about Jesus and some blind men. When looking at this scripture there are some interesting principles that the Lord has lifted up to me this past weekend.

I want to share with you in my blog my latest message I ministered this past Sunday at my church. My scripture text came from Matthew 9:27-30.

Notice in verse 27 the Bible declares that the blind men followed him. That lets us know that they may not have been completely physically blind. It suggests that there could have been some things within themselves that they became "blind" to. They couldn't see what was in them.

In verse 28 Jesus came into the house. The house represents the presence of the Lord. The safe place of God. The sanctuary. You need to get into the house of the Lord. You need to get into the presence of the Lord. You need to get in the safe place of God. In Florida we have designated "Safe Places" where if a woman wants to get rid of her newborn baby, she can drop it off at any place that has the "Safe Place" sign, (i.e.-Fire Station, Police Station and other locations) without criminal prosecution or any questions asked. When you are in the presence of God, there is no concern of criminal prosecution, only the unconditional love of God! You can't afford not to get to church to get into His presence. GET INTO THE HOUSE!

Jesus then asked the blind men if they believed? Do you believe in what you say you believe in? Many Christians that wear the title, don't have the belief. When you have a lack of faith, when you worry, when you go off on folks, you are not showing you believe in Christ. You are showing your belief in external and temporal things inside of spiritual things.

Jesus told them, "...according to your faith, be it unto you." When your faith is at the optimal level you first begin to see yourself. Secondly, you begin to see what God has already prepared for you right in front of you. Finally, you begin to be a witness (duplicate) for Christ. You begin to show Christ in you the hope of glory.

This week, let God open your eyes to the world of the possibilities of life prepared by God before the foundation of the world.
