The universe, as all of us know, is guided by a series of very strict laws. Have you ever thought of that? We are part of the universe ourselves which implicitly makes us subject to each of these unavoidable laws.
Throughout history, there have been quite a number of exceptional people, the greatest who ever lived. What did they know that we dont? Were they smarter? No way! Who helped them achieve their outrageously big dream? God? What is their secret? They must have had something in common though their background, time and activity fields were so different: theology, history, science, medicine, psychology, economics, and business. That something which binds them together and makes them a walking marvel of achievement and success was their personal energy which they knew how to focus so as to grab the best in life.
There is no such a thing as impossible dream; there are so many amazing real life stories and testimonials of regular people who, in some way or another, have managed to bring about profound changes to their lives. How do you think that happened? By gathering their personal energy and directing it straight to their goals. Think about the physical law of attraction; its basic premise is that everything around us, including ourselves, is composed of energy; so are our thoughts!. It is a basic law of physics that energy attracts energy, therefore, what we think about the most, we get more of!
Im going to make reference to my accounts of Napoleons remarkable life and to those simple and powerful keys that can universally be used to discover true success. It is all about attitude and commitment to what one really desires; the rest will follow as the night the day as Big Will put it centuries ago. Living with passion is what gives us boundless personal energy. It was passion that made Napoleon want to be a leader, a great leader, just like his heroes Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar; his passion turned a regular Corsican boy into one of the most outstanding history figures of all times.
Of the nine principles that have been extracted from the life of Napoleon Bonaparte, principle no 1 Have an Outrageously Big Dream - is the one we should quote here. Heres my confession to you: one of Kevin Trudeaus seminars, which I had the opportunity of attending years ago, literally changed my life. I have repeated this exercise with groups of students over and over again teaching them how to visualize their own dreams and make them happen.
Lets face it! Accomplishing our dreams does not happen overnight or in a day; it happens every day! The starting point for any of us is finding what we would really do, be and have setting our goals in life. Those who have never done anything like this before might end up with quite a long list there. Dont worry! Things become clearer later. Throughout the exercise, they will be asked to cross out the less important items on the list so that, in the end, there will be only five, the five things that they really need, are passionate about and want to get in their life.
Now what is there to do with the five most desired things?...Any ideas? They are the basic elements in making up a scenario leading to the visualization of an ideal day. Once the five words have been chosen and pictured into their mind as if they already existed in the story form, the students will quietly internalize it all and make a little day-dream of their ideal day, with those five things that they have decided upon. The next and last step of the exercise is the verbalization of what they have visualized. Students are invited to utter whatever they have previously created in their mind. So each and every participant, as in a choir, will tell the story of his/her ideal day. Thats no public speaking nobody is listening, so why worry? The purpose of it is to make them say out loud what their dream is, proclaim it as if it were already theirs. In this way, the subconscious will hear them stating their priorities clearly and choosing the outcome that serves their own growth will no longer be a problem.
So, whats next? you might ask. The very next thing to do is focus on what you have just decided thats most important in your life, use all your energy to reach it, let your passion be the guide and do IT, be IT, get IT! You dont have to be big to have a big dream; you only have to find passion in whatever you do, for the pursuit of passion unleashes boundless energy, enthusiasm and creativity. Dont think beneath your capacity in an effort to be realistic because you will literally cut off any possibility for success. We must not just dream of success and keep those dreams in the unrealistic category. We must believe we have the power, the energy to live those dreams for real. When we think small, we can only experience what we allow ourselves to believe is possible for us, there can be no other way; its like the Law of Attraction in action. In a similar way, good feelings will attract situations and circumstances that will bring us more of the same, so why not clearly state our life desires and pursue them with an open heart? How many times do you think Napoleon found himself on the battlefield thinking hmmI bet these guys here are going to beat the hell out of us!?
There are people who live their lives as spectators, with the belief that good things come to those who wait. Well, this may be true at times; many of us have experienced the joy of receiving a gift from life when we least expected it but this is not the rule; its the exception that proves it. We hear more stories of accomplished people who admit they had set their minds and hearts on pursuing their dream and did not have a break till they made that dream a part of their reality. They unleashed the incredible resources of energy they had inside helped by their own passion for the big and little things in life, thus managing to change the course of things by making use of what was already there.
All of us have immeasurable resources of energy within that we may still have no knowledge of. When passion comes into picture, all this energy arises to pave the way for what we most desire.
Live with passion; if you are pursuing what you love, you will jump out of bed in the morning and not want to go to bed in the evening, says Anthony Robbins. This is the key to life getting a meaning out of it.
Do what you love and love what you do. Do what best suits you and be happy for having found the way; passion will do the rest it will surely take you to the very place you have longed for!
